<description>Factors affecting Deposit Money Banks’ Credit to Manufacturing Sector in Nigeria
ADEMOLA, M.; Oluwasey, Abimbola
This study examined the effect of inflation rate, liquidity ratio, loan to deposit ratio and prime lending rate on banks’ &#13;
credit to manufacturing sector in Nigeria. Annual time series data spanning from 1986 to 2021 sourced mainly from &#13;
CBN Statistical Bulletin was used. The study employed Augmented Dickey-Fuller test and Autoregressive Distributed &#13;
Lag estimation techniques. Findings revealed that inflation and prime lending rates have positive but insignificant effect &#13;
on banks’ credit in the long run. Also, liquidity ratio has positive significant effect in the short run, but affects banks’ &#13;
credit negatively in the long run. Moreover, results showed short run causality from explanatory variables to deposit &#13;
money banks’ credit. The study concluded that inflation rate, liquidity ratio, loan to deposit ratio and prime lending rate &#13;
are critical factors that influence banks’ credit to manufacturing sectors. Therefore, it is recommended that the Central &#13;
Bank of Nigeria should formulate favorable monetary and macroeconomic policies in order to encourage banks’ lending &#13;
to manufacturing firms in Nigeria thereby enhancing economic growth.

<title>AN EMPIRICAL ANALYSIS OF THE LAW OF DEMAND IN THE NIGERIAN CAPITAL MARKET (1985-2020)</title>
<link>http://www.digital.lib.esn.ac.lk//handle/1234/16157</link>
<description>AN EMPIRICAL ANALYSIS OF THE LAW OF DEMAND IN THE NIGERIAN CAPITAL MARKET (1985-2020)
Babarinde, Gbenga Festus; Olatunji Ajao, James; Hassan, Haruna
This study tests the applicability of the law of demand in the Nigerian capital market by analyzing annual time &#13;
series data between 1985 and 2020. We specifically evaluated the nexus between price and quantity (unit) &#13;
of securities demanded in the Nigerian stock market by applying Toda-Yamamoto Granger causality &#13;
technique and Vector Autoregression (VAR) model. The study is based on ex-post facto research design. &#13;
The annual time series data used in the study were obtained from Central Bank of Nigeria (2020)’s statistical &#13;
bulletin. From the VAR analysis, we found that stock price exerts positive and significant effect on the quantity &#13;
of securities traded in the Nigerian capital market. However, quantity of securities demanded is negatively &#13;
signed but not a significant predictor of prices of securities demanded in the Nigerian capital market. Also &#13;
found in this study is a unidirectional causality flow from price to quantity demanded in the Nigerian Stock &#13;
Exchange. It can therefore be asserted that there is a short-run unidirectional causality flowing from price to &#13;
quantity of securities traded in the Nigerian capital market. Going by the positive coefficient of price &#13;
(26.91891), our finding is not in tandem with the law of demand which states that there is an inverse &#13;
relationship between price and quantity demanded. Rather than inverse relationship, this study provides &#13;
evidence of a direct (positive) association between price and quantity demanded in the Nigerian capital &#13;
market. In other words, the higher the price, the more the quantity of securities demanded in the Nigerian &#13;
capital market, suggesting a situation of abnormal demand.

<description>Managing Supply to Meet the Global Demand for Coconut-based Products at ABC (Private) Limited
Bhagya, B.; Wijesuriya, M.; Weerasekera, S.
The purpose of the research paper is to identify the prominent factors relevant to supply shortage and provide &#13;
recommendations to ABC (Pvt) Ltd in order to overcome the shortage in the supply of coconuts and it will facilitate the &#13;
company to cater the international market for coconut-based products. Researchers have developed what are the reasons &#13;
for inadequate supply? and how the supply shortage can be reduced? as research questions in order to address the &#13;
problem of supply shortage in coconuts compared to the international demand. Moreover, qualitative research followed &#13;
by a phenomenological research strategy was conducted to solve the research problem and in-depth interviews with the &#13;
internal and external parties of ABC (Pvt) Ltd were held for the data collection. Correspondently, thematic analysis was &#13;
used to analyse the data. Finally, the research has identified prominent reasons for the lack of supply of coconuts and &#13;
provided recommendations along with the incorporation of the partnership model. The applicability and the preferences &#13;
of deploying partnership model as Supplier relationship Management (SRM) theory as and with the aim of reducing the &#13;
sup shortage in coconuts in which it will assist ABC (Pvt) Ltd to satisfy the international demand for coconut-based &#13;
products were discussed under the study.

<title>Impact of social networks on social proactiveness among the non profit organizations in Sri Lanka</title>
<link>http://www.digital.lib.esn.ac.lk//handle/1234/16155</link>
<description>Impact of social networks on social proactiveness among the non profit organizations in Sri Lanka
Shafna, A.M.; Kodithuwakku, K.A.S.S
Social networks have emerged as a key paradigm for entrepreneurial performance in non-profit organizations. The aim &#13;
of the study was to determine whether social networks and social proactivity among non-profit organizations are related. &#13;
On the basis, existing literature was reviewed. One-hundred and ten non-governmental organizations in the Ampara &#13;
District, Sri Lanka, were studied through data collected from owners or managers of the organizations. addition to using &#13;
percentages and a descriptive methodology, non-parametric regression was also employed to analyze the data in the &#13;
study. Findings revealed, social networks and social proactivity among non-profit organizations in Sri Lanka has &#13;
significant positive association. The study suggested that the government and policymakers in Sri Lanka should create &#13;
better policies and provide NPOs more target-oriented support. This study contributes to filling a gap in the literature by &#13;
identifying the importance of social network for social proactiveness of non-profit organizations.
