Abstract:
Considering the importance of crustaceans for livelihood and nutrition, this study was
carried out. Multiple authored publications were predominant than single author
publications. Peoples Republic of China was a leading contributor among countries. Lo,
Chu-Fang from Taiwan secured 1st position among authors. Mahidol University, Thailand
was the leading contributor among institutions. Aquaculture was a preferential journal of
crustacean disease researchers. China was a major fund provider for Crustacean disease
research. Journal article was predominant document type of publications and English was
preferential language for scientific communication. Fenneropenaeus indicus (H. Milne
Edwards, 1837), Litopenaeus vannamei (Boone, 1931), Penaeus monodon Fabricius, 1798,
Macrobrachium rosenbergii (de Man, 1879), Crayfish etc., were highly studied species.
