Knowledge is considered as a capital. If a capital is managed strategically the result or the outcome is derived fruitfully. Keeping the high amount of capital is considered as less important than managing the capital. Present times all spheres of sectors in a country pay much attention on knowledge capital and proper management of the capital. Using tacit knowledge in proper way has unique feature based on its importance. When there is inadequate usage of tacit knowledge, there is an imbalance in managing knowledge capital. In this context, there is no proper arrangement to manage tacit knowledge in Sri Lanka. The problem of the research is to articulate the importance of knowledge economy in recovering from the economic crisis. This research specifically intends to evaluate the current trend of using tacit knowledge. This study is a conceptual research paper and qualitative research method is employed. Hence, secondary resources are taken for the analysis. Based on the theoretical background, Sri Lankan situation is evaluated. Based on the secondary information, a concept tacit knowledge is analyzed and recommendations are given based on proper knowledge management theories, mainly maintaining the tacit knowledge is a sustainable way to keep economic stability. |
