Abstract:
The development of various sects within religions origin to ideological differences is a well-established phenomenon
in the study of religion. Such doctrinal disagreements and differences have also existed within Saivism. Among the six
major sects of Hinduism, Saivism occupies one of the prominent position. Inside itself, Saivism comprises several
sub divisions. Saiva Siddhanta is regarded as its highest philosophical culmination. The doctrines of Saiva Siddhanta
are based on the philosophy of the three fundamental realities Pati, Pasu, and Pasa, the liberation of the soul, and
the paths leading to liberation. Other Saiva sects also are carrying the same ideology as Siva Siddhanta but there
are differences among. This study aims to examine the development of Saivism in the way of Siva Siddhanta and It
further investigate the influence of Saiva Siddhanta on sect of Saivism. Differences between Saiva sects and Saiva
Siddhanta occurs throughout its historical evolution. The research has been carried out through a detailed textual
and analytical study of literary works related to Saivism, its various sects, and Saiva Siddhanta.Scholarly research
on Saivism, its sects, and Saiva Siddhanta is becoming increasingly important for the Hindu Philosophical studies.
This study seeks to contribute meaningfully to contemporary academic discourse. It is expected to serve as a valuable
resource for university students, researchers, and scholars engaged in the study of Saivism, Saiva sects, and Saiva
Siddhanta, while also encouraging further research in this field
