Archaeological Research and Post War Research Efforts towards Batticaloa West Zone at Eravur Pattu Divisional Secretariat, Sri Lanka

Abstract

Archaeological evidences are prime elements for Historical sources. This is contemporary documents. Which is significant for it's good manners. Archaeology means literacy of Ancestral time Archaeological Experiment or, Archaeological exploration is Literacy regarding Hidden things which are under the earth and ancestor used things and their Life things.

Batticaloa District is located along the Lagoon. It has been divided as western zone and Eastern zone. Western zone was seen as forestry and paddy land area. People of such area had been keeping their cultural and Arts customs

In the Batticaloa District Archaeological Research Activities4'vas very snail pace due to last 30years civil wap; Batticaloa Western zone was Directly affected by war. But there is occurring Peaceful situation in above area, Some teams and groups have intension to explore and carryout Archaeological Research towards such Tamil / villages. Even though some unwanted Groups want only hid above Historical Evidence.

During the last war situation many Archaeological documents were destructed and Hidden by the unwanted persons. During that time many development projects and new colonization's created in above area. Hence we have to safeguard such Historical evidence This Research is carried out through literary notes, already Written notes, field research field visit interview. Approach of above Research has importance of Archaeology and Research efforts; legend notes areas which are to be carried out certain areas, This Research is carrying out to confirm strength of history further through the documentation of above research.
