In vitro shoot multiplication of passion fruit (Passiflora Edulis), using shoot tips is crucial
lbr the large-scaie procluction ol disease-tree planting mater:ial. 'T'his research lbcuses on
olrtimizing the shoot multiplication process using shoot tip explants ancl dill'erent
combinations of plant grou'th regulators. Six treatments involving 3 dilt'erent
concentrations ofl6-8enzylaminopurine (BAP) in combination with Indole-3-butyric acid
0BA) and Naphtalene acetic acid NAA) rvere tested to evaluate their el{bcts on shoot
multiplicaticn and root induction. Despite variations irr the concentration of grolfih
regulators, the results showed no signihcant diff-erence in the overall perlbrmance of the
treatments. Shoot proliferation was successfully achieved under all conditions, suggesting
that BAP. IBA. and NAA can be effectively usecl fbr micrapropagation cf passion fiuit.
These tindings provide a reliable in vitro shoot multiplication method of passion {iuit
through shoct tip culture, coutributing to sustainable cultivation practices and ensuring the
producti on o l' hi gh-quality planting material. |
