Abstract:
The purpose of this research study is to explore the leader happiness have impact on
subordinate happiness of banking sector in Ampara district. This research examines the
existing levels of leader happiness, hedonic happiness, eudaimonic happiness, and
subordinate happiness in Banking Sector. After, this study examines the identify
relationship between header happiness, hedonic happiness, eudaimonic happiness,
subordinate happiness among banking subordinates. Further, researcher tried to identiff
the impact of leader happiness on subordinate happiness of Banking Sector in Ampara
District. This research study relies on a data set derived its survey of 203 employees
who are currently employed in selected banks such as Bank of Ceylon, People's Bank,
Regional Development Bank, Sampath Bank, and Seylan Baxk in Sri Lanka.
Quantitative research approach used for this study. As well as close ended questionnaire
was used as the method of data collection from banking subordinates. Stratified random
sample method used to make the sampling frame of the study. The'data were analyzed
using descriptive statistics, correlation and multiple regression analysis. The descriptive
result indicated that the leader happiness, hedonic happiness, eudaimonic happiness,
and subordinate happiness were high among banking employees. Also, correlation
result indicated a significant positive relationship between leader happiness, and
subordinate happiness among respondents. And also, the multiple regression result
indicated that a significant positive impact of leader happiness on subordinate happiness
of Banking Sector in Ampara district.
