dc.description.abstract This research investigates how family-friendly HR policies affect job performance within the garment industry in Nuwara Eliya District. Data were gathered from 346 respondents using a method of stratified sampling. The findings show strong positive links between job performance and flexible work arrangements, childcare services, medical benefits, and paid time off. Flexible work schedules assist employees in managing work-life obligations, leading to lower stress levels and increased job contentment. Childcare centers alleviate worries for parents, improving their ability to concentrate and work efficiently. Having medical assistance allows individuals to receive healthcare and helps support their general state of health. Paid time off helps to avoid burnout and allows employees to remain satisfied with their job. Gender interacts with the impact of family-friendly practices on job performance, with no significant effects found for marital status, number of children, and education level. The research suggests enhancing HR practices that support families, carrying out assessments of needs, and creating policies that are sensitive to gender to tackle individual employee needs and difficulties. en_US
